Admission to study at a university of teacher education

In order to be admitted to study at a university of teacher education (UTE), EDK regulations specify that prospective students must have, depending on the chosen course of study, either an academic baccalaureate (matura), an EDK-recognised teaching diploma or a degree from a university of applied sciences. Candidates with a specialised baccalaureate in Education may also be admitted to some courses (teacher training for pre-school and primary).

The UTEs may impose further requirements.
