Open Science

Open Science is a priority when it comes to implementing the Open Access strategy and developing an Open Research Data (ORD) strategy. The shared use of research data goes a long way to promoting transparency and reproducibility in scientific research.

Our mandate

In October 2019, the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) commissioned swissuniversities to extend the National Strategy on Open Access to Open Research Data and to coordinate stakeholder activities in partnership with the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), SWITCH and the Swiss Data Science Center (SDSC).

Project group

After consulting with the SERI, a project group was put together to complete the work required. The group is drawing up the background report, Open Research Data strategy and Open Research Data action plan for the swissuniversities Open Science delegation.
