The program «Research Partnerships between Swiss Universities of Applied Sciences and Arts and Developing and Transition Countries» supported universities of applied sciences and arts (UASAs) and universities of teacher education (UTE) working in cooperation with developing and transition countries on projects involving applied research and education from 2013 to 2016. For this purpose UASA/UTE have cooperated with a competent institution in the partner country with a mutual interest in the transfer of know-how. The program was committed to solidarity with developing and transition countries and promoted international opening and cooperation with partners of the Swiss UASAs and UTE worldwide. The organization of the program consisted in an office based at SUPSI (Development and Cooperation Office) and an expert group with UASA/UTE representatives.
