The Fulbright Program is the flagship international educational exchange program sponsored by the U.S. Government, designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.

The Fulbright Program in Switzerland offers students and scholars with Swiss citizenship and English proficiency funding to pursue studies at the master’s or Ph.D. level or to teach and do research at post-doctoral level, at any recognized institution of higher education in the United States, in almost any field of study. Depending on the program, grant lengths range from three months to one academic year. Successful applicants for the Fulbright Foreign Student Program receive a grant for one academic year of about $ 20,000, and the grant of successful applicants the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program is about $ 43,000 for one academic year. Candidates from Universities of Applied Sciences and Arts are particularly welcome to apply.
