The security situation in Europe, and therefore in Switzerland, has changed significantly in recent years. Higher education institutions (HEIs) acknowledge this reality. They welcome the Federal Council’s development of a national strategy and intend to play their part in this regard.
HEIs, which rely on solid funding and international networks, are key players in strengthening Switzerland’s security and resilience. In particular, they make a decisive contribution to issues such as information and disinformation, risk analysis and crisis management, cybersecurity, technological development, strengthening knowledge security, and research and innovation in fields relevant to security.
