The Fulbright Program, the U.S. government's flagship international academic exchange program, is designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries. Annually, the Fulbright Program in Switzerland offers several grants to qualified Swiss students and scholars to pursue studies at the master’s or Ph.D. level or to teach and do research at post-doctoral level in the United States. From a total of 23 applicants for the academic year 2018-2019, 7 students were awarded a grant of the Fulbright Foreign Student Program and 3 scholars were selected for a Fulbright Visiting Scholar grant.

Der Hochschulrat der SHK hat am 25. Mai 2018 den Projektantrag für das PgB ‘Renforcement des ‚digital skills‘ dans l‘enseignement’ für die Jahre 2019-20 genehmigt, dies unter Vorbehalt der zweckgebundenen Aufstockung der dafür vorgesehenen Bundesmittel von 10 Mio. Franken.

Das von swissuniversities auf Einladung der SHK erarbeitete Projekt erstreckt sich insgesamt über die Jahre 2019-24. Es ist als Impulsprogramm konzipiert, in dessen Rahmen alle Hochschulen auf ihre Bedürfnisse und Rahmenbedingungen zugeschnittene Projekte durchführen können.
