swissuniversities reçoit occasionnellement des informations relatives à d'autres offres de financement octroyées par des universités et autres institutions ou fondations étrangères.

Des institutions d'éducation étrangères offrent parfois elles-mêmes des bourses aux étrangers. Ces offres ne sont pas forcément largement publiées. Nous recommandons donc aux étudiants avancés et avant tout aux chercheurs de se renseigner directement auprès de l'institution d'accueil pour un soutien financier.

Shanghai Municipal People's Government has set up "Shanghai Government Scholarship for International Students" since 2006. It is established to fund distinctive prospective international students to study in higher educational institutions in Shanghai.

The Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS) aims to attract top international students to pursue PhD studies in Hong Kong’s world-class research universities. The fellowship provides a monthly stipend of HKD 26’900 and a conference and research-related travel allowance of HKD 13’500 per year for a period of three years. 300 fellowships will be awarded for PhD studies commencing in the 2022/2023 academic year.

Studienbeiträge der Finnischen Vereinigung der Freunde der Schweiz (SYS) in Helsinki für einen Studienaufenthalt in Finnland
Der Stipendienrat der SYS gewährt jährlich mehreren interessierten Schweizerinnen und Schweizern einen Studienbeitrag für einen Aufenthalt in Finnland von 2 bis 4 Wochen. Der Studienbeitrag beträgt je nach Studienobjekt und Aufenthaltszeit zwischen EURO 1,000 bis EURO 1,500 und wird jeweils nach der Ankunft in Helsinki ausbezahlt. Campus Bourses (Campus Scholarships) provides information on the scholarships offered to foreign students. The tool lists all of the assistance provided by the States (French and foreign), regional authorities, companies, foundations and institutes of higher education.

The "Germaine de Staël" programme promotes collaboration between French and Swiss researchers and research teams by providing funding towards travel and accommodation expenses incurred by their team members as part of attending meetings or conferences. Funding of around CHF 4,500 per project per year is provided to Swiss participants.

Great Britain

 

After the 'Brexit' referendum vote in 2016, government ministers in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland all issued regular statements to reassure EU nationals (and sometimes their family members) who were already studying in the UK about their ongoing entitlement to student finance and/or 'home' fees.
In the Brexit - fees and Student Support page, the UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA) gives you a summary of what each of the four UK governments have said, dating back to 2016. In addition, you will find information about what is so far known for students commencing study in autumn 2021.

Berrow Foundation Scholarships and Berrow Foundation Lord Florey Scholarships: A generous gift from the late Marquis de Amodio provides for the award of six or more scholarships each year to enable graduates of Swiss universities to undertake a course of advanced study at the University of Oxford as members of Lincoln College. The scholarships cover all Course fees, college accommodation costs and a generous living allowance. They are tenable for up to three years.

The Onassis Fellowships Program for International Scholars is aimed at academics of all ranks – members of national Academies, Ph.D. holders and post-doctoral researchers – to conduct research in Greece in subjects relating to Greek culture and society.

JSPS International Fellowships for Research in Japan
The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) provides fellowship programs for overseas researchers who have an excellent record of research achievements to conduct collaborative research, discussions, and opinion exchanges with researchers in Japan. The programs are intended to help advance the overseas researchers' research activities while promoting science and internationalization in Japan.
The "JSPS International Fellowships for Research in Japan" consists of two programs: Postdoctoral Fellowships for Research in Japan for young researchers and Invitational Fellowships for Research in Japan for mid-career and senior researchers.

The  Hosei University in Tokyo offers within its "Hosei International Fund (HIF) Foreign Scholars Fellowship Program" a few fellowship grants for a period of six months to young scholars from abroad who are, at least, enrolled in a doctoral degree program to carry out non-degree research.

The Ulam Programme - Mobility grants for post-doctoral researchers
The objective of the Ulam Programme is to help foreign researchers to develop their career by intensifying international mobility as well as allowing them to establish scientific cooperation with excellent host institutions in Poland. Visits within the programme can last from 6 to 24 months. The scholarship includes a living allowance in the amount of approx. 2400 euro monthly which can be increased by about 500 euro and/or 240 euro for an accompanying spouse and/or underage child. The scholarship also includes a one-off mobility allowance ranging from 1600 euro to 2800 euro depending on the researcher's departure country, which can also be increased in case of the accompanying family members.

The Poland My First Choice scholarship programme aims to encourage young talented people from several countries, including Switzerland, to pursue studies at the best Polish HEIs. The Programme offers an opportunity to pursue full-time second-cycle studies in Polish or in another language at public and private HEIs on all fields of study offered by institutions offering education at highest level, with a monthly scholarship amounting to PLN 2,000 (ca. EUR 460) to cover the living allowance during the period of education in Poland. In the case of public HEIs, the Programme also offers an exemption from education fees.

The Work Holiday Programme allows Swiss students and young graduates aged 18 to 25 at the time of application to work and holiday in Singapore for 6 months.

The Public Scholarship, Development, Disability and Maintenance Fund of the Republic of Slovenia implements various scholarship programmes for Slovenes and foreign students coming to Slovenia.
At the same time the fund collects and publishes also information about other scholarship opportunities for foreign students to come to Slovenia.
Scholarships are available for high school as well as various level of tertiary education.

The Taiwan Fellowship is established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) to award foreign experts and scholars interested in researches related to Taiwan, cross-strait relations, Asia-Pacific region and Sinology to conduct advanced research at universities or academic institutions in Taiwan.

The Research Grant Program of the Center for Chinese Studies (CCS) in Taiwan is designed for foreign professors, associate professors, assistant professors (including post-doctoral researchers) and doctoral candidates in departments related to Chinese studies at foreign universities, as well as researchers at related foreign academic institutes. The research should be undertaken in Taiwan, and be focused mainly on Taiwan or Chinese studies.
